Just a small taste of who the January Photographer is.....

ABOUT THE Photographer:

Joshua Stream, originally from Montana, is currently a fourth-year medical student at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. At the age of 20, he applied for a passport and has been traveling ever since-beginning which extensive travel to Russia, Italy, and Egypt. After graduating from college, he moved to Thailand to become a kindergarten teacher. With seven months of teaching under his belt, he set off for Tibet with a new camera and a zest for 20-hour bus rides, to fulfill his dream of reaching the isolated, barren, secretive land of Shangri-La.

Joshua completed several treks in Tibet and Nepal, including a round-trip trek to Everest Base Camp in the Solu Khumbu and a three day trip into the Thar Desert of western India. He dined with Tibetan monks and summitted several 18,000-ft peaks in the Himalaya. All told, Joshua traveled overland through Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, Tibet, Nepal, and India, taking pictures all the way. After 12 months of traveling by foot, bicycle, bus, train, plane, tractor, boat, truck, motorcycle, camel, and kayak, he returned to the U.S. in August 2003, just in time to start medical school. He has since been back to Thailand twice and recently returned from another trip to India.
