VBF....how to Donate

( VBF LOGO) VBF Team Marathon September 5, 2006
Dear Friend of the VBF: I want to first start off with thanking you for your continued support to the Vascular Birthmark Foundation. We were able to raise over 10,000 dollars in 2005 from your contributions in supporting us in the 2005 Boston Marathon which contributed in helping Children with Cancer and Children affected Vascular Birthmarks.
I pleased to announce that on Oct 29th 2006 the “VBF Team Marathon” will be lining up to run 26.2 miles in the Marine Corps Marathon, this is the first team that has been formed dedicated to raising awareness and essential funding directly for the Vascular Birthmark Foundation.
To help us in our mission, we’ve recruited a crew of Coast Guard volunteers from a Training Center Yorktown, VA, along with my devoted friend and supporter of the VBF, Jessica Obst. Jessica as many of you know ran by my side in the 2005 Boston Marathon. Please join me in wishing the below list of runners luck on this challenging venture:
Jessica Obst, - Baltimore, MD LCDR
Tim Haws - Training Center Yorktown, VA MSTC
Tony McDade - Training Center Yorktown, VA LT
Mick Scott - Sector Los Angeles - Long Beach, CA LT
Jason Stamper - Training Center Yorktown VA
Our goal is to raise funding that will improve the lives of thousands of children affected by vascular birthmarks- we want more parents to rest easy knowing that they are not alone and that life-changing treatment exists for their challenging medical cases.
Please join me in supporting the VBF and its runners, your support will directly impact children suffering with vascular deformities. Your donations will help to support the important work of the Vascular Birthmark Foundation. VBF is an international charitable organization that provides support and informational resources for individuals affected by Hemangiomas, port wine stains, other vascular birthmarks and tumors, sponsors relevant research and promotes physician education. To learn more about our work, visit us on the web at www.birthmark.org.
Below is before and after pictures of the work the VBF does to help children living with disfiguring and life threatening vascular birthmarks. Speaking from a parent whose child had a vascular birthmark it is truly an amazing miracle that the VBF provided for us, we will be forever grateful.
